Back Page - Bicycles

Here is a page of found photographs with bicycles.

Four bikes, four guys
This one was almost completely faded to nothing. In the dim light of the junk shop where it turned up, there seemed to be two perhaps three bike riders. After a bit of tuning, there appears to be four.

  2. Thanks tony. It's crazy I know. There are over 8000 rescued photographs in LOST GALLERY now. All categorized in some fashion. My wife insisted I make an index.

  3. What a great collection of biker photos. I particularly like the first one with the 4 riders. But also the bicycle built for 2 with the bathing beauties. Very cute pic. All of them are great.

  4. A very nice collection! I like the first two pictures in particular.
I have made a comment on the Lost Gallery site showing the Connies.
My thanks to your wife :)

  5. Thanks Barbara and Nancy. I like that one too. It was almost nothing and I bought it just on a lark. I was certainly surprised when the four riders began to emerge from the yellow haze of the original.

I had been watching for a snap of a tandem bicycle for some time. I found this one only a couple weeks ago.

  6. Thanks Peter.

And thanks for the added information! I added it to the caption under the picture.

Yes, Annie had a good idea there. I still think she dresses me funny.

  7. The bikes that children in the middle, second row are posing with have no balancer (at least I didn't see any). If the children were actually riding those bikes, I thought I would say I'm impressed that they can (as I can't even with small bikes).

  8. I'll bet thopse four bike riders are off for a bit of mischief. Great selection.

I would head off to some of those other categories mentioned in the index, but wherever will I find time to compile my own Sepia Saturday post for this week.

  9. Thanks Hazel Ceej. In the second row, center, the girl with the pony tail is riding what looks like a 24” with training wheels. That’s the only training wheels I found. I’m impressed too; they seem pretty young.

  10. Thanks Brett Payne.
Those four look like they’re not above a few shenanigans.

I hope the index comes in handy for those who might have an interest in some particular category.
