Back Page - The Guys - Page 3

Here he is. The Guy. Husband, father, boyfriend, son, service man and just the guy that lives down the street. He is not as comfortable in front of the camera as the girls. He often looks awkward, out of place, embarrassed.

Sometimes he compensates by trying to look arrogant or confident or nonchalant. But it usually doesn't work. He usually just comes off looking like a confused, little boy

THE KIDS Lesson one.
It is always a mystery how a photograph of any of these precious children could end up lost or abandoned. Here are a few. You will probably say "Ooh..." at least once.

The beautiful Dee. A curious story; What do you see?

  1. More swell photos and its fun too see how you've connected similar fellas. Bowler hat guy should have his own page. I don't think the running board pose has a modern equivalent with today's cars.

    1. Thanks Mike Brubaker. One of the pleasures of rescuing old photographs is discovering locations or activity or just poses that are similar from completely unrelated sources.
You are right, the running board is pretty non-existent. It's also hard to find a bumper one could sit on. The bowler hat guy and his associates were all on an album page together. That page is here:
