Back Page - Children and their Mobile Toys - Page Three

Children and their mobile toys.

That first sense of independence I suppose, comes when a child takes that first step.

Close behind that is the first tricycle or scooter or even roller skates.

Here are a few more pictures of children with their new found independence.

Back Page - The Children and their Mobile Toys

Children love toys that move, especially ones that move them along too.

Tricycles, wagons, pedal cars and bicycles.

I recently watched television show about junk dealers. One collector, while pulling an old bicycle frame from under a bush, remarked how independent he felt when, as a child, he got his first bicycle.

I remember an elderly neighbor of mine who hated to give up her driver’s license because it felt like a loss of independence. She was 84 and hadn’t driven in years, but it was the symbolism that bothered her.
