Back Page - Class Picture - Page Two

The photo-memento of the group from a year or term in a school class has been a tradition for a long time. Here are a few examples of Class Pictures, some fairly recent but some going way back.

Some of these photographs were eight inch by ten inch, or larger and others were tiny snapshots. For clarity, all are presented here at approximately the same size.

A search for Donald Powers was based on these clues:
He must have been born about 1940. He went to a Catholic school named St Mary's & St Patrick and his teacher was S M Adilia.

From the news item below, it was learned WHERE the school was located and that Sister Mary Adilia began teaching the fourth grade in 1948.

McHenry (IL) Plain Dealer

From these clues and several others this obituary was found which reviews Donald Powers' life. It is still not known for certain which of the students in the photograph is Donald Powers. The search is still on.
