For this Sepia Saturday Suggestion we have a snap of the reverse side of some people walking away.
LOST GALLERY has a category that fits this prompt pretty close! It's called
ADVANCE TO THE REAR!
Occasionally LOST GALLERY finds a picture of someone's back.
The photograph of the child at the right is easy to understand: the child got bored with the photo session and turned to leave. But not all photographs of a subject's back are that easy to explain.
See how many you can provide an answer for the question: What is going on here?

THE KIDS It is always a mystery how a photograph of any of these precious children could end up lost or abandoned. Here are a few. You will probably say "Ooh..." at least once.
Dee and the Business School The beautiful Dee. A curious story; What do you see?
WHAT'S GOING ON HERE? "What are they doing?"
Love the little chap with the hat and his nonchalant pose.
ReplyDeleteThanks Little Nell. I think that is my favorite too.
DeleteWhat an amusing take on the prompt, as always. For some reason I like back and towel...maybe because it is so natural.
ReplyDeleteThanks Alex Daw. I had a choice of quite a few. I did a page of these some time ago.
DeleteI especially like the one with the photographers shadow below the man in trunks. It would have been even better if the man had been more centered on the tree with the branches sprouting from his head.
ReplyDeleteThanks Postcardy. Yes, that is an odd one. You've given me an idea. I think I will see if I can find a few of those photographs where the subject is in an awkward position related to something else in the picture.
