On this page are collected the highlights of the second book of negatives found in the basement of a flea market in Texas.
It was post war and the photographer apparently wandered about England as an ordinary tourist. Those photographs were covered on Post War Page One. Now Page Two will contain the photographs in the set that apparently were taken after arrival back in the United States.
In this group the photographer often took many frames of the same scene or subject. Presented here will be only the best of the series. Some frames have accompanying descriptions and these will be included here.

Dee and the Business School The beautiful Dee. A curious story; What do you see?
WHAT'S GOING ON HERE? "What are they doing?"
You've probably figured out that the monument to the Confederate States is in Austin, TX on the state capitol grounds. I don't know if it has a flag.
ReplyDeleteThe interior train snapshots are terrific. Those were the days when traveling had class. Table clothes, silverware, neckties!
Thanks Mike Brubaker. Yes, I figured Austin because of the buildings. And note the bass relief sculpture shows an outline of Texas. The train shots are really dated. Note the one man with the newspaper open in front of him. No room to do that now..
