Back Page - Gone to the Chickens

ART NAHPRO over on Flickr gave me this excellent idea for a Lost Gallery page with his Flickr Gallery “CHICKEN LITTLE AND HENNY PENNY.”
It features a collection of photographs with chickens. It is a marvelous collection. Go and see it.

These people and their chickens have something in common, a je ne sais quoi, in their expressions, demeanor and body language.

The chicken is an odd creature, sort of half wild and half domesticated. They don’t seem to learn very fast, remember very much or care. They eat, sleep, lay eggs and wander about. And cluck. Oh, and wake us in the morning.

So as a tribute to the enigmatic chicken, here is a page of found photographs with chickens in them prominently featured or just wandering about.

Just like his idol Alfred Hitchcock, Chester Chicken always liked to include a cameo appearance of himself in all his movies. "Los Bulbas" would be no exception.
