Possibly the most popular subject of the amateur photographer is children.
In the past, LOST GALLERY has collected photographs of children on pages called:
The Studio Portraits
The Kid in the Tub
The Goat Cart
Cowboy Suits
Child on the Front steps
Boys in Dresses
Three Children
Vintage Child Holding a Chicken
Girls and their Dolls
Baby on (Running) Board
A Child's Day - Page 01 (This One)
A Child's Day - Page 02
A Child's Day - Page 03
A Child's Day - Page 04
This collection will be of amateur snapshots of children; basically a child or two standing out in the yard, or just busy playing.

THE KIDS It is always a mystery how a photograph of any of these precious children could end up lost or abandoned. Here are a few. You will probably say "Ooh..." at least once.
Dee and the Business School The beautiful Dee. A curious story; What do you see?
WHAT'S GOING ON HERE? "What are they doing?"
All good! Possibly proof that there are no bad photos of babies, kittens, or puppies. My favorite sub-genre is the Goat Cart photos. I stumbled across them years ago on eBay and very briefly toyed with the idea of collecting these children photos. Cute but just too many!
ReplyDeleteThanks Mike Brubaker. Yes, there are certainly a lot of them. And no, we just can't rescue all of them. I pick up the goat cart and pony ride photographs whenever they are not expensive. Some dealers have decided that is a premium item however. I have seen goat cart photographs in poor shape with an asking price of 20 dollars. Too much.
