Operating the Telephone

Well. Here is a category I hadn't thought of before.
Telephone Operators.

Someone commented on the picture to the left and it struck me that I have ANOTHER picture of a telephone operator somewhere.

I searched the Gallery files and found this one.
Note the Saddle Shoes.

So I decided to do a page where the telephone plays some part of the photograph.

"No. No, Cecil can't come to the phone right now.
He's ...tied up."

Remember when the telephone was always attached to the wall?

Now, they seem to be always attached to an ear.
