Back Page - Donkeys

Donkeys. Okay, mules and donkeys and burros. We just don't give them their due respect. So here's a page of all the donkeys found in lost gallery.

Donkey

No, this one is not part of the LOST GALLERY.

He is a sculpture from Artesania Rinconada

Proof!
These two have been in the LOST GALLERY the longest.

THE KIDS Lesson one. It is always a mystery how a photograph of any of these precious children could end up lost or abandoned. Here are a few. You will probably say "Ooh..." at least once.

  1. How funny! I have a black and white photo of my uncle, then a little boy, wearing a big sombrero and sitting on a donkey. It was taken in Juarez in the late 40's. It was apparently *the* tourist thing to do when traveling in that part of the world.

    1. Thanks very much for your note. What a treasure that must be! Those tourist photographs with a donkey were a popular attraction in Mexico border towns and still are I understand. And thanks again, you reminded me of another photograph I must add to this page!
